Nissan November Sales Break Company Records

2016 Nissan Rogue

During the first few weeks of December, automakers release reports boosting their sales numbers for the previous month. Nissan November sales flaunt rather impressive numbers, with record-breaking growth pointing towards a successful year for the company. In total, Nissan saw a 4% gain over November 2014’s numbers.

The growth is attributed to record-breaking sales of 95,389 cars and trucks for the company in 2015 so far. The cause of this incredible success is none other than the Nissan Rogue, which has been outselling the Altima sedan, one of the company’s bestsellers, for a consecutive three month period, now.

As of the month of November, the Rogue has sold 22,565 units – a 50% increase over the compact crossover’s sales last year around the same time. The Altima itself saw sales decrease, but Nissan representatives attribute the falling numbers to the fact that the sedan is currently in a transitional period between previous-year and new-year models.

“The new Altima really didn’t play into November results because it is just now starting to arrive,” Dan Mohnke, Nissan’s US Vice President of Sales, says. Furthermore, he says, “But we have that to look forward to as the year ends—not just the new Altima, but also a freshened Sentra reaching dealers later this month, as well as the new Titan.”

The company’s optimism comes from the positive image painted by Nissan November sales numbers, which indicate continuous growth and success. With several new models on the horizon, sales are expected to increase even further. We are excited to see what this success brings to Nissan of Lake Charles!

Rogue, Altima, and Pathfinder Named Best Family Cars

In their infinite wisdom, the editors at Kelley Blue Book (KBB) have included three Nissan models in a list of the 12 very best vehicles for families. To represent 25 percent of the best family cars on the road this year is quite a feat for Nissan, and we at Nissan of Lake Charles are pleased to offer all three award-winning models: the 2014 Rogue, the 2014 Altima, and the 2014 Pathfinder.

In determining the 12 Best Family Cars of 2014, KBB editors originally selected 21 representative models across 11 different automakers. Each of these models had received top ranks in the website’s Expert Ratings for different family-friendly vehicle aspects. These aspects included safety, comfort, driving performance, rear-seat entertainment, room for child seats, and cargo space, among others.

Once these 21 vehicles were chosen, the editors relied on real families who drove these cars to offer their feedback. Based on their stories and opinions, the editors chose the top 12 victors, and the rest is history.

“Each of these vehicles was designed to fit the needs of a wide range of customers and situations, while also being family-friendly,” explained Dan Mohnke, the vice president of Nissan Chief Marketing Manager & Marketing Operations. “From Pathfinder’s more conventional family profile to Rogue’s wealth of amenities and clever cargo solutions to Altima’s ideal fusion of sportiness and practicality, the mainstream appeal of these vehicles’ designs has been borne out in robust sales numbers and third-party accolades such as these most recent awards from KBB.com.”

Nissan confirms all-new Rogue in 2013

Amid hype about the launch of the 2013 Altima, Nissan has confirmed that an all-new version of the Rogue compact crossover will be released next year. The Rouge has been the third redesign announced during Nissan’s plan to remodel five of its top-selling vehicles in fifteen months.

Little information about the new Rogue has been released, but the crossover is expected to be influenced by this, the Hi-Cross concept Nissan debuted at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The concept was a compact crossover featuring a gas-electric hybrid powertrain with a 2.0-liter, direct-injection gasoline four-cylinder mated to a new-generation continuously variable automatic transmission. The style of the concept, including the sloping hood, blunt front end, and roof spoiler, are expected to come into play on the production Rogue.
