Australian Artists Snake Hole and Chris Le Modify Glow-in-the-Dark Nissan JUKE Models

With its distinct shape and style, the 2016 Nissan JUKE is one of the most artistic vehicles in the automotive industry. Nevertheless, two Australian artists recently took the artistic aesthetic of the Nissan JUKE to the next level, by creating a pair of glow-in-the-dark Nissan JUKE models.

Australian artist Snake Hole and Chris Le recently took on the challenge to transform models of the Nissan JUKE into street art as a part of White Night celebration in Melbourne, Australia.

“Our initial impression when we saw the JUKE was it had snake-like characteristics,” said the Snake Hole team in the press release. “The grill, headlights and long smooth lines resonated immediately with us. We decided to create a series of snakes that traced the shapes and features of the JUKE. We utilized negative space, so that the snakes were glowing, and everything else would be blacked out.”

Chris Le created a model based around the Chinese New Year, while Snake Hole appropriately selected a snake-like theme for their piece.

These pieces of art just go to show how truly creative you can be when you have a Nissan vehicle at your disposal!  What would you do to customize your Nissan Juke or other Nissan Models?  Tell us at Nissan of Lake Charles!

Origami Nissan Juke Offers Unique Paper Rendering

Believe it or not, the fuel-efficient, high-power Nissan Juke subcompact crossover model is already celebrating its five-year anniversary, and British paper artist Owen Gildersleeve wanted to honor the vehicle justly and in a way that highlights the originality of the Juke.

With the help of Nissan, Gildersleeve was able to create an Origami Nissan Juke completely out of paper, which took more than 200 hours to fold and more than 2,000 pieces of paper.  The best part, it is the size of the Nissan Juke and almost looks real!

In a press release, Gildersleeve drew comparisons between his work and the creation of the Juke, saying the many pieces of paper “represents the thousands of people who helped bring the Nissan JUKE into reality in 2011.”

You can check out the Origami Nissan Juke here, courtesy of Nissan UK’s YouTube channel, showcasing the art – which was clearly inspired by the available Juke exterior color “Solar Yellow.”  Tell us what you think of Gildersleeve’s unique tribute to the Nissan Juke!

The 2016 Nissan Juke balances power and fuel efficiency, able to generate up to 188 horsepower and get up to 32 mpg on the highway. To learn more, visit us anytime at Nissan of Lake Charles.

Redesigned Nissan Juke Arrives in 2015

2015 Nissan JukeNissan is continuing to refresh its models, giving drivers something eye catching year after year. For 2015, we’re getting a redesigned Nissan Juke. Along with this redesign are pricing changes, new styling, more cargo capacity, and a new model range.

The new Juke is coming out with some blinding LEDs. In addition, daytime running lights, mirror turn signals, and taillights all received the upgrade, already making the vehicle flashier than ever. The grille has also been revised and there is a more noticeable trim around the front bumper.

With a new Juke come a few new colors, as well. Options include magnetic red, ink blue, and bumblebee yellow. All models also sit on 17 inch alloy wheels. Speaking of models…

Nissan has dropped the ST-S model altogether. Remaining are the Ti-S and ST models. The entry model ST features a 1.2L four cylinder turbo engine, which is only available in a six speed manual. For an automatic, you’ll have to jump up to the ST 1.6L non-turbo four cylinder with a CVT. Front wheel drive only on the ST.

The Ti-S is the bombshell of the Juke. There are two models, both with a 1.6L four cylinder turbo engine. In the less expensive model you get the engine, front wheel drive, and a six speed manual. In the more expensive one, you can expect a CVT with all-wheel drive. No matter which of the two you choose, Nissan delivers. Included in the Ti-S is the “Safety Shield” technology suite (lane departure, blind spot, and moving object detection, just to name a few), 5.8 inch touchscreen with internet app connectivity, satellite navigation,Bluetooth connectivity, and audio streaming.

So what’s this going to cost you? Car Advice has that answer with a nice little comparison to the Nissan Juke’s previous pricing.  We at Nissan of Lake Charles can’t wait to see the changes in person!
