There aren’t many options when it comes to a midsize truck, even with GMC and Chevrolet back in the mix. While still limited, more competition means other automakers have to step up their game and that’s exactly what Nissan has done. The 2016 Nissan Frontier will come with new paint colors and a slight price increase.

The 2016 Frontier S King Cab 4×2 with a five speed manual transmission starts at $18,090. That’s easily the cheapest you can find a new truck for these days. The top end of the Frontier’s spectrum comes is the Pro-4X crew cab models. They run in at $35,410, still not a bad price for a fully loaded pickup.

Nissan’s also looking to appeal to the color conscious as well. New additions to the color spectrum for 2016 include copper, gun metallic, and magnetic black. That brings the total up to eight colors.

The 2016 Frontier comes with two engines. A 2.5-liter four cylinder, with 152 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque, is available in King cab models only. The more powerful 4-liter V6 engine runs in with 261 hp and 281 lb-ft of torque. The Frontier is available in five trims for the 2016 model year.

At Nissan of Lake Charles, we can’t wait to see the latest in affordable midsize pickup trucks!

2013 Nissan Frontier gets minor changes, including price!

Nissan is constantly trying to bring better innovation to the fleet of models they offer, constantly making themselves more competitive and an overall better vehicle provider for our customers. We here at Nissan of Lake Charles are happy to announce the next big thing to happen to the 2013 Nissan Frontier, a price drop! Now that’s not the only thing to get excited about when it comes to the new 2013 Nissan Frontier, but a little extra in everyone’s pocket is definitely something we love to talk about!

In order to attract new truck buyers to Nissan and help snag some of the market share coming off of the ever dwindling compact truck segment, Nissan has dropped the King Cab and Crew Cab models of the 2013 Frontier by $1,270 each. This brings the starting prices to $17,990 and $22,030 respectively. This price drop is the biggest drop over the past few years, and deal you’re definitely not going to want to miss out on!

Additionally, most configurations (all except the base-model) have seen decent increases in city/highway fuel economy. By adjusting the aerodynamics of these configurations these models have see increases of 1-2 miles per gallon, a little increase but over the life of the car really adds up!
