There are a lot of reasons to be excited about the future of cars, and not just because they’re finally starting to look like the shiny, sleek beauties we’ve been imagining they’d become since the 60s. Now is the era of the best efficiency, the greatest safety, and the all-around most widespread driving accessibility – and the new Nissan and BMW partnership is taking that last point to a whole other level.  This partnership may just change the way we see cars in the future!

Last month, Nissan announced its intent to, alongside the worldwide engineering giant, BMW, supply the U.S. with 120 new dual fast chargers for the Nissan LEAF and the BMW i3. And no, this isn’t just intended to help Nissan and BMW (though it certainly does); the creation of these 120 locations is also meant to support the widespread adoption of electric vehicles across the country.

The charging stations will be coming to 19 states for now, but keep an eye out for one near your home someday soon! We’re sure this new Nissan and BMW partnership is only the beginning of Nissan’s electric, eco-friendly push.

Tell us at Nissan of Lake Charles, if you are not currently driving an electric vehicle, would you switch to one if there were more charging stations?
