If you’re located near Lake Charles, Louisiana, there’s one summer series you definitely don’t want to miss. The Downtown at Sundown concert series is a fun way to get out with family and friends and make the most of a beautiful summer evening. Every Friday starting May 18 to June 8, 2018, downtown Lake Charles will host a free concert along with additional entertainment, foods and beverage for sale, vendors or many kinds, and activities for all ages.
Each Downtown at Sundown event begins at 3 p.m. and lasts until 10 p.m. Families and neighbors of Lake Charles are invited to show up any time and to stay for as long as desired. Visitors are welcome to bring lawn chairs to set up for the concert. No outside food or beverage is permitted, but it won’t be needed with so many great vendors selling snacks and dinner items.
Downtown at Sundown is located on Ryan Street from Iris to the Phoenix building parking lot. In the event of rain, concerts will be held inside the Lake Charles Civic Center. Don’t miss these fun concerts coming up, starting with The Tugboats on May 18th, Rusty Metoyer & Zydeco Krush on May 25th, Lost Bayou Ramblers on June 1st, and Flamethrowers on June 8th.
