Rumors are circulating that the 2015 Nissan GT -R will receive an upgraded seven speed dual clutch transmission instead of the standard six speed dual clutch. As stated these are simply rumors as of right now, but an “inside source” at Nissan revealed the new Nissan GT-R concept to a GT channel early last week.
Despite the far off release date, increased speed transmissions are becoming the new trend for new models. Models like the Range Rover Evoque recently debuted with a ZF 9-Speed transmission. Also, Chrysler will be introducing the new 2014 Jeep Cherokee at the New York Auto Show later this week which will sport the first ever nine speed automatic transmission in the US market.
Will the new transmission, Nissan is hoping the new 2015 Nissan GT-R will top off at 2.7 seconds going from zero to 60 miles per hour. Many of the top engineers are also expecting to top their old lap time at the Nurburgring, hoping for a 7 min 15 sec start to finish time.

There are many amazing activities and wonderful sites to see when you live in, or are visiting Lake Charles, LA. From national parks, five star golf courses, sandy beaches, and even a couple of casinos for mom and dad to squeeze in some grown up (and responsible!) fun! There is one museum that stands above the rest and requires and day set aside during any family’s trip to Lake Charles, and that’s the Children’s Museum!
Located right off Broad Street in Downtown Lake Charles, The Children’s Museum has combined learning, fun, excitement, and active exhibits and experiments that keep kids active in mind and body! From creative arts and crafts that nurture their young minds to grow, the “Big Mouth” and “Lake Charles Fire Safety Station” which teaches kids about proper dental hygiene (don’t forget to floss!) and proper fire safety techniques, and the Horizontal Rock Wall which helps kids stay physically active, there are activities for children with any interest…and their parents too!
As cliché as it may sound, the children are our future. We here at Nissan of Lake Charles are happy to know there is a place like the Children’s Museum for kids to learn, grow, and have fun in a safe environment! If you’d like to learn more about the Children’s museum, feel free to visit their website!
