A List of Top Valentine’s Day Restaurants in Lake Charles

Happy Valentine's Day

With Valentine’s Day coming up, the one question on everyone’s mind is: where’s the best place to eat in Lake Charles? With an array of choices at your fingertips, sometimes it can be hard to pick the perfect place. That’s why we’ve put together a list of the top Valentine’s Day restaurants in Lake Charles.

You can almost never go wrong with surf and turf, that’s why one of our top places for Valentine’s Day is Harlequin Steaks and Seafood. According to Cajun Radio, this place has a tradition dating back to the 1950s, so it’s a great place to go to ensure everyone has a good time.

Odds are if you ask around, La Truffe Sauvage (“The Wild Truffle”) is one of the hot spots for this romantic holiday. Who doesn’t like French gourmet dining? Although it might be alittle more expensive than other places, if you’re looking to impress your date, this is the place to be.

Last but not least, Mazen’s Restaurant is perfect for those of you that are looking for something a little different. Although it’s a little more adventurous than the other two places on our list, Mazen’s offers a unique Mediterranean dining experience. If you’re looking for great seafood, look no further.

Hopefully this list of top restaurants in Lake Charles will ensure you have a fantastic evening on Valentine’s Day. Remember to call ahead for reservations, and of course, from the Nissan of Lake Charles team, drive safe!

How to bring home the perfect Christmas tree

Does your family have a tradition of decorating a real Christmas tree just before Dec. 25th? Or maybe it’s a new tradition starting this year. Either way, we at Nissan of Lake Charles have a few tips on safely bringing the perfect tree home.

Tip #1: Use gloves. Gloves will enable you to get a firm grip on the tree as you transport it from the lot to the roof of your vehicle and into the house. Your hands will be grateful for the protection from the tree’s needles and sap, not to mention the saw if you are in charge of cutting down the tree.

Tip #2: Place plastic or a heavy duty tarp over the roof of your vehicle. This will protect its paint and finish. Be careful the covering does not extend over your windows.

Tip #3: Get some help. Ask someone to help you lift the tree onto the car, trunk facing forward. Completing this task single-handedly may be an impressive feat, but the whole process will be much safer and will go much more smoothly if you have a partner or two.

Tip #4: Open your car doors. In your excitement to successfully secure your tree to the vehicle, don’t forget to open the car doors before you tie it down. It would be a pity to be forced to untie all that hard work in order for everyone to climb into the car and go home.

Keep these tips in mind as you and the family find that perfect Christmas tree and safely carry it home. Happy trimming and Merry Christmas from all of us at Nissan of Lake Charles!
