Although the Nissan Altima had a major upgrade a few years ago, Nissan has updated more than just a few things on this refreshed 2016 Nissan Altima.  The Altima is one of Nissan’s more popular models and arguably the brands most popular sedan.  The pricing on this new Altima will reflect some of the changes made by increasing $200 from last year’s model, but when looking at the changes made, this increase is small compared to the changes made.

This year, the 2016 Nissan Altima is getting an exterior redesign, with updates to the front fascia, grille and fenders.  According to Nissan, the 2016 Altima will also incorporate the “Energetic Flow” design in place with the 2016 Maxima.  In addition to this, the interior will feature a softer material, updated steering and suspension and some new technology! With updates to the engine, the MPG is expected to be a class best with 39 MPG Highway.

The 2016 Nissan Altima is a great example of Nissan’s drive to improve its vehicles.  Although the Altima is Nissan’s “bread-and-butter,” the company stills looks for ways to improve an already flourishing model!  Tell us what you think of the Altima’s upgraded features here at Nissan of Lake Charles!  I know we are highly anticipating it’s arrival here at our store!

New Nissan Maxima Makes Good on its “Four Door Sports Sedan” Name

2016 Nissan Maxima

If you’re not already driving a Nissan Maxima, you might be unaware of the true power of this four-door sports sedan. While the Maxima might seem like it is built for everyday use, it has a surprise under the hood—a 300-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine. Living up to the “sport” descriptor in its name, the Maxima is considered one of the top Nissan models when it comes to performance, trailing only the GT-R model.

While power takes the forefront in the 2016 Nissan Maxima, it’s available trim levels are also top-notch. Our favorite is the SR sports trim. Nissan recently released a new 2016 Maxima SR Midnight edition at the BET Experience, which comes with even more options and features to boost your customer experience. The Maxima comes with a V6 engine and a CVT transmission, gets over 300 horsepower, and even gets 261 lb-ft of torque.

The Maxima matches form and function really well, too, with a beautiful exterior design that blends seamlessly into an ergonomically and comfortably designed interior. The SR model even comes with special accents—black mirrors, black wheels, and other black design touches as well. Come visit Nissan of Lake Charles to learn more!

Next-Generation Nissan LEAF Should Get 310 Miles on a Single Charge

Nissan LEAFThe Nissan LEAF has now surpassed the Prius as the most popular and ubiquitous nameplate in the hybrid/electric vehicle market. With tons of technology, standard features, and—of course—incredible efficiency, it’s no wonder customers and critics alike both love the LEAF. Now, the next-generation LEAF will take that formula to an all-new level with a range that allows the electric car to go 310 miles on a single charge.

While the Next-Generation Nissan LEAF will come farther in the future, the 2016 model currently gets 110 miles on a single charge, thanks to a new, more powerful battery. This increase is already an improvement on the 2015 model, which had a range of 84 miles. While the 110-mile range is impressive, the next-generation LEAF is sure to knock the socks off of the industry.

Nissan just premiered a prototype of the vehicle, which comes with a new electric powertrain to push that range up over 300 miles on a single charge. Obviously, an electric vehicle with the same range as a gas-powered vehicle would be quite a welcome innovation to the new car market. All-New 2016 Maxima Goes On Sale This Summer

Nissan has finally divulged all the details on the latest Maxima sedan, which it originally showed in a surprise ad at the Super Bowl.

The all-new 2016 Maxima will go on sale this summer at Nissan of Lake Charles and set “a new standard for style, performance and technology in the mid-size sedan segment.”

Thanks to a new 3.5-liter VQ-series V6 producing 300 horsepower, the Nissan Maxima is touting a power-to-weight ratio that exceeds that of the Acura TLX V6 and BMW 335i.

That’s not all though. Nissan rebuilt more than half of last year’s V6, with over 60 percent of the parts being new, contributing to a 15 percent improvement in highway fuel economy. The CTV is also new and, according to the automaker, “performance oriented.” All of these make the 2016 Maxima even more desirable than ever!

Those are only a few of the details, however, and details do abound. The Maxima has many new features to make it hold true to Nissan’s promise, so check out the official press release for the rest of it!
