Some people like hops in their beers. At Nissan, they prefer hops in their office—hops from a cute bunny, that is. A crew of over 60 employees at Nissan Design America in San Diego got a real treat when one employee, Jacqueline Reeve, brought in her sweet four-year-old dwarf Lionhead bunny for a visit. Bunz the Lionhead bunny arrived in the spring just around Easter, making Bunz an apropos guest. Bunz’s light-hearted cameo on the design floor was perhaps the cutest source of inspiration possible.

At Nissan Design America, the team of designers works on designing exteriors and interiors of cars, as well as colors. Reeve, Bunz’s owner, is a color and trim designer. Anyone who has worked in arts and design knows that inspiration is sometimes hard to come by. A visit from Bunz was a fun way for the Nissan design team to take a break from focused routine, and to have a laid back change of pace.

Nissan has always been innovative, and now it’s clear they’re just as innovative when it comes to sources of inspiration. Who knows? It might be that Bunz—also known as the “Ambassador of Happiness”—provided designers with the fresh perspective they needed to design your next favorite Nissan car. Let us know what you think about Bunz the Bunny and his inspiration to Nissan designers at Nissan of Lake Charles!
