One of Nissan’s best-loved rides is getting a facelift. The 2013 Nissan Altima Sedan was unveiled Friday at the 2012 New York International Auto Show, and the vehicle – totally redesigned and boasting a host of updates – will launch in July. The 2013 Altima is the most innovative yet, with best-in-segment fuel economy of 38 miles per gallon, new safety features, and updated interior comforts.
The new Altima offers standard Bluetooth® Hands-Free Phone System with Streaming Audio via Bluetooth®. Newly standard Advanced Drive-Assist™ Display integrated key technology, including available navigation, text messaging notification and audio data, and places it right in front of the driver. Also available are NissanConnectSM and NissanConnectSM Navigation with Bluetooth® phone connectivity features, including hands-free text message integration, Pandora® playback, real-time Google® POI search and more.
Safety features include Easy Fill Tire Alert, and Safety Shield Technologies, including Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Moving Object Detection (MOD) systems.The interior design includes new “zero-gravity” front seats for maximum comfort.
A redesigned 182-horsepower 2.5-liter DOHC inline 4-cylinder engine, comes standard, and 270-horsepower (est.) 3.5-liter V6 is also available.
